The latest improvement includes a 4.06 mm new and improved induction base and a superior pressure regulating system that controls pressure to a narrower, more efficient range. This reduces the sprouting of frothy foods, such as dal, and makes it easier to insert and remove the pressure regulator.

The safety valve is located under the lid handle bar, ensuring that when it operates, the steam is safely deflected downwards. The gasket has minimal exposure to steam inside the cooker and does not rub every time the product is opened and closed, allowing it to last longer. The stay-cool handles and the fixed sturdy pivot, which is part of the metal handle itself, ensure that the handles last longer as well.

The Hawkins Classic pressure cooker is recommended for use on gas, electric, halogen, ceramic, and induction cooktops. It features an extra-thick induction base and is UL/ISI certified.
